Ground-Motion Model for Reference Hard-Rock Conditions in the Euro-Mediterranean Context by GIT-Based Site-Response Deconvolution
Title: Ground-Motion Model for Reference Hard-Rock
Conditions in the Euro-Mediterranean Context
by GIT-Based Site-Response Deconvolution
Key points: In the framework of site-specific seismic hazard assessment, the definition of reference motion is a crucial step. Reference motion is generally associated with hard-rock conditions, characterized by S-wave velocity (VS) exceeding 1500 m/s. However, ground motion recorded at sites with such conditions is underrepresented in existing strong-motion databases.
Consequently, the validity domains of most empirical ground-motion models (GMMs) are not representative of reference hard-rock conditions.

Long‐Term b Value and Seismic Rate from Earthquake Catalogs with Time‐Varying Completeness and Uncertain Magnitudes
Title: Long‐Term b Value and Seismic Rate from Earthquake Catalogs with Time‐Varying Completeness and Uncertain Magnitude Key points: Seismic hazard assessment relies on the statistical analysis of seismic catalogs. In this context, a robust estimation of the long‐term b value and seismic rate is required. Our results demonstrate that accounting for both magnitude uncertainties and time‐varying detectability leads to improved estimates of seismic parameters. The resulting probabilistic framework provides reliable inputs for probabilistic seismic hazard assessment.

Effects of Topography on Ground‐Motion Recordings at Short Wavelengths: The Case of a Cliff in Cephalonia, Western Greece
Title: Effects of Topography on Ground‐Motion Recordings at Short Wavelengths: The Case of a Cliff in Cephalonia, Western Greece. Key points: Topography effects on ground motion are examined at the top and base of a 30‐m cliff. Cliff base de‐amplifications exceed top amplifications, especially between 5 and 15 Hz. Stations near cliffs can bias ground‐motion models and lead to inaccurate seismic hazard estimates.

Epos‐France Database of Earthquake Ground Motion for Mainland France: 1996–2021
Title: Epos‐France Database of Earthquake Ground Motion for Mainland France: 1996–2021 Updated Version. Summary : the Epos-France database, includes more than 16,000 high-quality seismic records from seismological stations in mainland France. They correspond to earthquakes with local magnitude between 2 and 5.6 that occurred between 1996 and the end of 2021. This work is an update and improvement of the ground motion database provided by Traversa et al. (2020), which covered up to 2016.
